Providing attachment-based, neuro-affirming resource consultation to children and their families & pedagogical collaboration with early learning and care providers.

My vision is to complement and provide alternatives to existing community services that support children, families and childcare staff across Ontario.

My Story

It’s been a winding road to get where I am today. From a past career in tourism, through grief and growth, travels around the world and back…my career in the early years sector started in 2012 when I became interested in arts as a healing modality for children who had experienced adversity.

I went back to school with the intention of eventually becoming an art therapist. The Early Childhood Studies program at TMU introduced me to the work of educators and families in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Their philosophy clicked with me right away, and I fell into a deep love with the methods and approaches to early learning, creative development, community and democracy that this network of infant-toddler centres and preschools carries out. I was also taking a number of courses in psychology and my fascination with the intersection of these things was growing.

After graduating, my love for working directly with children and finding ways to embed mental health tools into programming brought me to many years working as a Registered Early Childhood Educator in various settings from Toronto, to Ottawa and rural Ontario. I have enjoyed my time playing and reflecting with children, creating documentation and sharing it with families, and always seeking to be part of the village that contributes to true wellbeing.

The natural transitions of my own life now find me seeking programs, connection and support for our elder community and end of life care. I know this work is meant to be circular and I am remain curious about how these happenings will transpire. I am interested in bridging gaps with creative solutions, finding ways to connect across generations in order to build strength in rural communities. Through nature, the arts, storytelling and relationship, I believe we are capable of living beautifully together.
